Did you know that UBX Cloud kind of made history?
We say “kind of” because we doubt this actually makes the history books, but we think it deserves to!
That’s because we were the first U.S.-based cloud provider ever to offer secure cloud enclaves.
If you don’t know what those are, here’s a primer:
Secure cloud enclaves are walled-off areas within a cloud environment that are specially secured to process the most sensitive of data. These enclaves are encrypted and isolated to protect this most sensitive of data from unauthorized access.
Even cloud service providers, IT administrators – and obviously malicious hackers – can’t access this data, even during processing.
Within a secure cloud enclave, only authorized code can run. There is no risk of exfiltration or external threats to either data, applications or storage.
And when you process data within one of these enclaves, it’s not exposed in memory to the operating system. It’s one and done, and no one and nothing can go back and track it down.
Many organizations are required to meet strict regulatory requirements concerning cybersecurity, and a secure cloud enclave will typically provide the type of protection you need to meet those tough regulatory standards.
When you read about such solid security for sensitive data, it might leave you wondering: Why were we the first to offer it? Why doesn’t everyone?
We can’t speak for everyone, but we can tell you why we believed it was worth the investment to develop the capacity and offer the service.
The stakes are exceedingly high these days with most companies and their highly sensitive data. Especially when you consider the way hackers use things like customer data, financial information or access to operational controls, it’s possible for companies to suffer loss from which they can never recover if certain data is compromised.
Our cybersecurity tech stack under normal conditions is very robust, and we enjoy consistently frustrating would-be attackers who target our clients. Nevertheless, when a client is processing data that’s extremely sensitive, and they want extra layers of protection, it only makes sense for us to offer those extra layers.
It was an audacious move for a private cloud service provider like us to bring in this capability – and though we were the first we know others have followed us. That’s good. We’re flattered by the fact that they copied us, and we know that means even more companies out there can rest assured that their most sensitive data is highly secure.
So if you’ve got your data with one of the Big Cloud providers, you should know that they will never prioritize your data and certainly won’t offer walled-off areas where your own personal data is secure.
You always can get that with us if you need it, and we’re personally on top of what’s happening with it at all times.
Big Cloud doesn’t care enough to do that for you. Many private cloud providers still haven’t developed the ability to offer the service.
With us, you get both.
